MORT X AZURA
Family Life
The kids each get their own cabin in the meadow, or at least share one as per adult privacy. By the time everyone exists the once single cabin has turned into a full on family farm built entirely by Azura, the girls, some assistance by the boys when they got old enough, and Mort. Azalea and Sumia share a cabin, Mysti has her own cabin, Calypso has a cabin with her mate. There's a cabin for the future kiddos, Prue has a cottage connected to Maxis' lab which doubles as his cottage, the main cabin is mainly Azura, and Mort and kids under the age of seventeen.
Farm tasks;;
Azura -- housework, mom, sometimes feeds animals/waters garden
Mort - Helps everyone with their tasks, cares for people when they're sick and does their tasks for them at that time, tends to the wells and water quality, and family protector. Spends most of his time being a dad though.
((Mysti/caly/sumi/azalea all hunt together for the family))
Mysti/Caly/Prue -- Produce/harvesting
Sumia -- Takes care of birds/hunts
Azalea -- Tends to flower garden
Maxis -- gathers wood
Prue/Merlin -- stay home bc they’re still kids
This is just for now, as they all get older the tasks change, such as Maxis becomes a good source of medical and scientific advice, and focuses on his alchemy and scientific studies to help benefit the family.

What Family Think of the Relationship
Malec / Brother
“I didn’t know what to think of the guy at first. Me and Azura’s relationship was already only a few years old, so while I’m the younger brother, it feels like she's the younger sister. It really doesn’t help that I’m a big guy and she's so petite…” *coughs* “anyways, at first of course, I felt like a protective brother over her, like …”who does this guy think he is wooing my sis like that’ and yadda yadda…. But I really shouldn’t have worried. While at first interactions were tense, he warmed up to my family and I enjoy his company whenever their own family decides to visit us. Mort’s like a brother to me.. And he makes Azura the happiest woman around which is props in my book. They’re great for each other” |
Mystique / Eldest Daughter:
“I honestly thought never in my wildest dreams Mamma would become smitten with a man like Mort. And at first, and my sisters agree, I honestly trusted him about as much as you could trust a venomous snake. But again my mother was always so naive so when we saw that he was watching her from the woods...we tried to tell her but she just, didn’t understand. Eventually they up together despite our protests. But needless to say, we were wrong in trying to keep him away from her. Mamma was always so lonely before. She hid her feelings well but raising us on her own and now, us being old enough to help on the farm without her hovering over us, her loneliness is much more….apparent. Mort filled that role, and I’ve never seen Mamma so happy in my whole life. They helped each other for the better and I’m more than happy to see them together.” |
Sumia / Second Oldest:
“I use to hate him. He was always creepin’ around and staring at my mom all the time. I’d have to gather my sisters to chase him out of the woods. He thought it was funny when we did though, laughing at us. I use think he was such a jerk for doing that!!!” Huffs. “Me and Azalea would take bets on which one of us would try to tackle him guerilla style from the trees. He would throw us off, laughing with that snarky look on his face. One time I even took the time to set up a trap to stop him from coming to the farm, but he ended up rerouting and coming from a different direction!!!. But after a while, anytime he would visit and Mom would see him. Her face would brighten with a smile and….to us, it felt really good to see that smile on her face. We realized that not only was he going no where but, he wasn’t half bad and made our Mom very happy and so we gave him a chance. I personally will never call him dad, because I was already nearly an adult when they got together...but my kids can absolutely call him grandpa.” |
Azalea / Third oldest:
“In terms of now. I think they’re great for each other. In the past, no I didn’t think so. I only knew from what Mysti told us about him watching the house from afar. I played follow the leader in hating him because honestly I was still tad protective over Momma and didn’t like the idea of someone potentially harming her for any reason. But after he did become a part of our lives I really do like him. He helps me with my garden and helps around the farm in general. He’s a wonderful mate to Azura and not only that, he’s a great father. He’s helped Momma for the better and though I don’t know much about his own backstory, I think she has helped him for the better as well.” |
Calypso / Fourth oldest:
“What do I think about Mort and Momma? Highly actually. I was the first of my sisters to really accept him into the family. I didn’t hate him like they did at first. Yes I was, concerned, when he came by but I didn’t really see what the big deal was. Granted I was also fascinated because it was the first time I ever saw another who was so interested in my Momma. When my sisters were vandalizing and trying to sabotage him coming through the forest. I was still too young to really help them, so I stayed and helped Momma. I watched them interact first hand and saw the slow burn relationship blossom into what it is today. I love him and my siblings that have come from the union and I’m thankful that they came together.” |
Diore Denver / Son / Fifth:
"I think Dad had a really rough past, he refuses to talk about it, but it shows in how considerate and gentle he is towards us and Mum. I'm glad he met her, she's helped so much in him healing I think. Plus I like existing haha, if they hadn't got together I wouldn't exist!" |
